The world of fluid art is captivating, thrilling and unpredictable. The finished result of potions, paints and pigments interacting and mutating on the surface cannot accurately be envisaged or duplicated which means that every creation is an adventure. Carol began her fluid art journey in December 2019 and quickly became addicted. She has worked untrained over the decades until her mid 40’s when she embarked on a diploma course in fine art. She loved the multi- disciplinary curriculum achieving a distinction. Combining her artistic skills with fluid art has offered a new dimension.

Her inspiration comes from the natural environment, from life events, and from what she sees, feels, and thinks. She also loves colour, contrast, and texture. September 2020 was a defining moment when Carole held her first solo exhibition in Nottingham. She works alone in her basement studio and had no idea whether her art would have public appeal. The response was truly affirming.

In February 2022, The Arts Council England, awarded Carole a grant to fund a project Breast or Beast which tells her story of breast cancer. This has been the catalyst to take her work to new levels. Carole’s portfolio includes many combinations of techniques, 3D effects, and a variety of objects and surfaces. It is an all- consuming and truly inspirational experience.
