Maureen Clark

When Maureen retired, having worked in the NHS for most of her adult life, she decided to focus on her love of art. She started by attending a part-time Art A-level course over two years. However, while on the final year she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She continued with the course mostly working at home as she struggled with the effects of chemotherapy. She did however attend to do the examination work. After gaining her A-level, she had a year to recover, and applied to do an art foundation year, part-time, at Loughborough University. After successfully completing the course, she has mainly been interested in printmaking, but also textile art and various mixed media work. Consequently, she has had the pleasure of exhibiting some work in local art exhibitions.
